Chatterbox

Parker is a non stop talker right now! Most of the time it's not in english, but it's really funny!
Here are some of his most recent words:

"bit bit"- what he calls frogs (ribbit, ribbit)
"downa"- when he's all done eating and wants down
"no"- he copies us when we tell him no
"quack quack"- for duck
"oooh ooh ooh ah ah ah"- for monkey
"naaaay" - for horse
"mbooooo" - for cow
"mboon" - moon
"tu" - for tummy
"do it"- we have no idea where this came from!

And we are seriously thinking about naming the baby "EWW" because Parker says it in the cutest voice I've ever heard. :)

There are so many more, but that's all I can think of right now. He is so cute!

2 ER Trips in 1 Week?

Gosh, I hope that's the last time!
The other night when we took Parker in, they told us to come back if he threw up again. And yesterday after drinking milk (this seems to be the trigger), he threw up. We decided to just water his milk down since his stomach is so sensitive right now, but when he woke up this morning, there was vomit in his crib.
We took him to the ER and got a prescription for Zofran to help calm his tummy. We are really hoping this goes away VERY soon!

My Valentines

We had such a good Valentine's Day! Parker started out a little sick this morning, but is his normal self tonight.

Look how cute this little valentine is:
I made Parker a heart shaped rice krispie treat. My mom used to make these for my brother and me every year, and it was our favorite thing. My mom has such good traditions :)

Auntie Jen and Uncle Robbie sent Parker a valentine in the mail that Parker was so excited to open.
Hmm... what's in here?

Can I eat this?

Mmm, I love chocolate! Auntie knows me too well :)

Parker LOVES his new hat that Auntie Tara got him. I'm serious, Parker normally rips hats off as soon as you put them on. It must be because it has a P on it!

Daddy and Parker caught one of the thousands of frogs out in our yard. Parker loved chasing it around our dining room.

My Valentines :)

Off to put Parker to bed and watch a movie with my love.
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

My Heart...

...belongs to two boys. I love them with all of my heart. Together they make me feel whole.
I can't believe by next Valentine's Day, I will have three Valentine's to love on. How lucky am I?

Some of the many reasons I love you guys are because you both...

Treat me like I am the only girl in the world that you want to be with
Have daddy/baby dates on the weekend so you can bond and eat breakfast, and I can sleep
Give the sweetest kisses I could ever imagine
Make me laugh every single day
Surprise me every day with something sweet
Know exactly when I need a hug or snuggles
Are two peas in a pod

I love you both because you are amazing. You literally make my heart melt all the time, especially when you're together.

I am so lucky to have you in my life.

What a Week!

Gosh, I don't even know where to begin.
Parker started getting sick at our hotel (Monday) when we went to Stanford.
Then we got the horrible news that he hast to have surgery again in 3 months.
The night we got home (Tuesday), I started to feel sick, and ended up throwing up all night. Then Parker woke up throwing up some more, and had diarrhea. I had to change his bed twice within 10 minutes, all while I was throwing up.
I eventually had to call Garrett home from work (he has been working nights), and he had to stay with Parker in his room all night.
The next night we decided to stay at my mom's house so she could help me while Garrett was working. Parker refused to eat, sleep, and finally was screaming inconsolably around 1:00 in the morning. We decided to take him to the ER where they gave him Zofran to help the vomiting, fluids, motrin, and tylenol. We left around 3:30, and finally got him to sleep around 4:00.
And my poor little guy lost 3 lbs. from Tuesday to Thursday :( He looks so tiny!
We both finally are starting to feel better, but now my poor mom is sick! She was throwing up all of last night. I feel so terrible. She was helping us through it, and now is suffering! My dad feels sick too, but doesn't seem to have the same thing.
I am trying to care of her and Parker, but luckily she is pretty low maintenance :)
We love you, mom/grammie!

I just pray that Garrett doesn't get it. He must have a crazy immune system to have been around us all this time and feel fine.
I am so thankful for my family.

I haven't even taken pictures of my little cutie pie Valentine yet, but hopefully will tomorrow.
We are going to take Parker on a little picnic (assuming it doesn't rain), and then Garrett and I are going to order pizza and watch a movie after Parker goes to bed. I can't wait to spend the day with my boys.

Not What We Were Expecting.

We just got back from Stanford today. Parker had his 3 month post op appointment this morning. We kind of expected to go in there, the doctor to tell us everything is fine, and then be on our way in a couple minutes.
Not what happened.
We went in there, took Parker's diaper off, and the doctor felt for both of his testes. He found the left one right away, perfect. Then he took a while with the right one. He said he was not happy with the results, and it wasn't down low enough. He said that often times the scar tissue builds up and brings the testicle back up.
So... he said we will need to set up a pre op appointment and a surgery date for 3 months from now.

Garrett and I left angry, confused, and really sad.

I am very thankful that this is what our baby is dealing with, and not something more serious. But as a parent, ANYTHING involving surgery is scary. We just really thought this was over, and apparently we were wrong.
Please let this next time work!

Family Adventures

We are in Mountain View/Palo Alto for Parker's post op check up at Stanford tomorrow. We decided to come a couple days early and make a little trip out of it. We have been having a rough time, though. When we checked into our room, Garrett thought it smelled like mold, but we kind of just brushed it off. Well, then this morning Parker started throwing up (and we later realized he threw up in his bed in the middle of the night... poor thing!). We quickly opened the windows, and asked to change rooms, and his vomiting stopped. So we are thinking that might have had something to do with it.
He has thrown up once since then, but is otherwise his happy self. He won't eat much, but is still drinking plenty of water. Our poor little guy!
If he isn't better by his appointment tomorrow, we can't go. We don't want to get the other kids sick. So please pray that Parker feels better, and that hopefully it isn't a bad stomach bug!

We at least have some cute pictures of him :)

Parker riding the luggage cart:

His favorite thing: eating olives off his finger.
Drinking out of his big boy cup.

Snuggling with daddy.

We all went ice skating for the first time today. We had so much fun! And we all managed to not fall on our butts. :)

Mr. cutie pie in his ice skates.

Skating together.

He loved the ice!

Silly face in the car.

And I couldn't not put this on here. Garrett's professional ice skating moves. haha!

11 1/2 Weeks

For some reason my belly seems to be a lot bigger today.
We took a picture to document (and because Jen requested one) :)

Sooner or Later...

Poor love bug got his first black eye. Last night we were taking a video with my camera, and Parker was playing with it when we were done. He swung it around and hit himself in the eye. He has a little red mark, and a mini black eye.
I felt so bad! Needless to say, he wants nothing to do with my camera anymore!

We call this...

the china face. I LOVE it!!!

Sweet little baby

We got to see our newest addition today for the first time. He/she was so stinkin cute! They had their hand and arm up by their face the whole time, so it was hard to see the profile.
The baby measured at 11 weeks, right on schedule!
And it's heart rate was 175 beats per minute, which is perfect!
The doctor said everything looked amazing, and like a little healthy baby. That's all we can ask for :)

Blowing Kisses

Yesterday while we were watching the Super Bowl halftime show, we were trying to get Parker to dance. Well, he decided to do an impromptu kiss blowing show. Melts my heart!
