It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...

I LOVE Christmas time. There is such a magical feeling about this season. We took Parker to see santa yesterday downtown after we took our family pictures, and Parker was pretty good with him UNTIL we put him on santa's lap! He pointed at him, gave him smiles, touched his beard... but as soon as we gave him to santa, he was not a happy guy! So mommy and daddy jumped on santa's lap to get a good picture :)

Get me outta here, mom and dad!

Such a sweet boy

Ooh, a candy cane for me?Okay, this was definitely worth it

Tonight we were invited to go to the Arroyo Grande parade to see our friends little girl, Sarah, on her school's float. Parker had so much fun, and even wore a hat for a little while (this kid does not keep hats on). He got more candy canes, and loved all the horses, dogs, tractors and police cars. And Sarah looked so cute!!

I LOVE this picture. Parker was cracking up.

THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving was kind of hard for me this year. Since Garrett and I got married, we decided to trade off families every year for Thanksgiving. Last year was with my family, and this year was with his family. I couldn't help but think about what my family was doing all day today. They all gathered at my brother Ryan's house for the day, and everyone kept saying how weird it was without us there. We missed them all SOOO badly!
But we still had tons of fun at the Loughran house. Garrett's sister, Tina and her family were in town from Texas, so it was so nice to see all of them. We had a lot of fun with everybody, and Parkie even danced at the end of the night with his cousins and Grandpa Dave... it was adorable. He has always liked to dance, but he took it to a whole new level tonight!

I am so thankful to have 2 families that both want us there with them, and that that is our toughest decision. I couldn't imagine not having a family to be surrounded by during the holidays.

There is so much more to be thankful for, but these are my top 2:
1. Garrett
2. Parker
Together, they make my heart complete.

Flirting and Fake Laughs

So we definitely don't have a shy baby.
Parker has always been a flirt, but now incorporates the fake laugh into it.

Examples:
On the day of his surgery (granted, they had just given him a sedative), he was flirting and pointing to his anesthesiologist, and offered her his paci with a huge grin on his face.

While shopping, he offers his goldfish or trail mix to any passer by who talks or smiles to him.
It's actually not just people anymore. Tonight we were at McDonald's (yes I gave my baby chicken mcnuggets... don't judge me :) ) and he was trying to feed his nuggets to the cars passing by.

While Garrett and I are watching TV and Parker is playing, he will turn around and laugh any time we laugh. The best part: he has no idea what he is laughing at.

So the other day my parents, Parker and I were all at Target. Some lady starts talking to Parker and telling him how cute he is. He gets a huge smile on his face that makes the lady giggle. Well Parker goes into his full blown fake laugh, which obviously made the lady laugh harder... and led Parker to fake laugh even harder.
It is quite hysterical. I have a video, but Garrett and I are extremely obnoxious in it, so I need to get a better one.

I seriously love this baby boy more and more every single day. He does a pretty good job of entertaining us. :)

Recovering

Just a little update on the little surgery patient...

The day after Parker's surgery you would have never guessed he had anything done to him. He was smiling, laughing and playing with all of his toys like usual.
He was pretty bruised and swollen, and his 2 incisions on his abdomen were inflamed. We had to pick him up by scooping him under his little booty so that we wouldn't put strain on the incisions (this was kind of hard for us to adjust to!).
Oh, and Parkie cut 2 teeth (1 of them a molar!) during this whole process... poor little thing!

A week later, he is almost completely healed. I can't believe the recovery time of a little one. The bruises are gone, and all you can see are the 4 incisions. They still have a little bit of the glue on them that keep them from opening up.

He luckily didn't need any of the tylenol with codeine, just a little bit of Motrin. He is such a tough baby!

He is starting to walk like a little mad man, and is as happy as ever!

Here is a recent picture of him that I love. He's so stinkin' cute!

23 FOR ME!!!

Happy Birthday to me :)

Thank you so much to my family and friends for an amazing birthday/weekend! You all are wonderful. On Saturday, we took off for lunch at Giuseppe's and then some wine tasting around San Luis, followed by dinner with our whole family. And today (my actual birthday), we all went to lunch downtown and then my mom made us an amazing roast dinner, with Jen's cute cupcakes for dessert. I love you guys!!

**And the pictures all got cut off AGAIN even though I tried to make them smaller. So you'll have to click on them to see the whole thing.**

My handsome husband gave me this so I could take some pictures this weekend. I LOVE it!
