Parker's Moving!

Packing is hard work, even for a baby! We are getting ready to move to our new house! Well, not new, but new to us. Garrett's parents bought some property in San Luis that happened to have a house on it... and they are letting us rent it for the next few years. Garrett has been working countless hours on it trying to get it ready, but we are still waiting for the floors to come in (crossing our fingers for next week). So in the meantime, we are moving in with my parents. Hopefully it will only be for a week or two, and I'm sure they hope so too!
Anyway, the new house is on a bunch of property, and is much bigger than our current house. It has 3 bedrooms (room for another baby???) and 2 baths, and has a huge laundry room, and an adorable dining room. There is also a play structure with a swing and playhouse for Parker. I think he is going to have so much fun growing up out there! It definitely needs a lot of work, but we will work on making it our cute little home.
(we will post before and after pics of the house as soon as we can... you won't even believe the difference!)

Here is Parker helping us move (and teething, hence the wet shirt):

This is our current house that we are going to miss so much. We have so many memories here, and it was Parker's first home. He spent the majority of his time in the womb here, and almost a year growing up in it. We love this house so much, but we have outgrown it in our short 13 months living here.

All the cool babies sleep like this

After Parker fell asleep for his nap today, I went in to check on him and found him like this:

AND I just put him down for bed a little bit ago, and he did it again! I thought it was a fluke, and it was hilarious, but apparently this is his new sleeping position! I moved him both times though because I didn't want the poor guy to wake up sore! Gotta love his cuteness :)

Little Jailbird

Parker has recently learned how to stand himself up on everything. This includes my leg, the coffee table, a case of waters, and his crib. I went in after his nap to find him like this:

My little jailbird

**We really aren't trying to make his crib uncozy, it is normally all dressed up, but... somebody decided it was fun to rip the bumper off by kicking and pulling at it :) So for now, it's just a mattress and a sheet.
And he's teething on his crib, so not only will it be uncozy, but it will have teeth marks in it to boot. Good thing he's cute.

Pool Sharkie

We went to the pool today with Brandi and the babies she watches. It was really fun, and Parker loved being in the water. He went under (big boy!), and he practiced floating. I wish I had a video of it, it was the cutest thing. He closes his eyes and lays completely still. Love that boy!
Sorry for all the camera phone shots, but I never lug the huge Canon around with us :)

Talkin on the Phone

Oh my gosh... could he get any cuter? He just started this today. He picks up the remote and puts it to his ear like it's a cell phone. It is the funniest thing ever! Does this mean Garrett and I use our phones too much?! I took this with the camera on my phone, and I couldn't get it from the front because he gets easily distracted when he sees phones/cameras!
Such a little buttercup :)

Nights Like These

Remind me what it's like to have a newborn again. Parker has a pretty bad cold that he got this past weekend, and he cannot sleep well at all. Poor guy is stuffed up and has the worst cough. I don't think I've gotten on the computer at 2:20 am since he was about 2-3 months old. And it's nights like these that make me realize I am not ready for another baby yet!
We love you buddy, and there's no other place daddy and I would rather be than taking care of you.

Prayer Bear

This little bear has reinforced the fact that I think Parker is the sweetest baby in the world. My mom gave him this bear when he was born, and when you press his belly he says a prayer:

"Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
that the angels watch me through the night
and keep me in their blessed sight.
amen."

We give him his bear every night before bed so we can say our prayers together. As soon as he hears the bear, he gets so shy and bashful, and gets the hugest smile on his face (so huge that his paci usually falls out). Then he usually hugs and kisses the bear the whole time it is praying.
There is no doubt that we have the most adorable little guy. I always have loved prayer time, but this brings it to a whole new level. :)

(I know these aren't the best pictures, but it was pretty dark in our house. Oh, and excuse his crazy hair, he just had a bath!)

Cutie Patootie

I just have to show of our little cutie pie. Parker is so full of life and such a happy boy, not to mention photogenic! We love that he is our little model, and he is so funny around the camera. He is probably the funniest little baby I have ever known, but he becomes so serious when the camera comes out. He cracks me up!

We walked to Farmer's Market from our house the other day, since we are moving next month and won't be able to do this much longer. :( Parker was exhausted and passed out about 30 seconds before we got home.

He stayed asleep...
We went to Target last week and Parker was such a good boy that I bought him a couple of toys :) He got a new xylophone and some maracas. He is such a musical little guy. He loves to make music out of anything (banging a paci on his highchair or carseat, singing in the car...), so I thought I would give him some real instruments. For the time being, he just likes to chew on them!

Oh, and another favorite thing of his is zippers! He tries to eat them, but they don't come off! Bummer.

Parker got a new play mat. Since we have hardwood floors, we needed something for him to play on that was a little softer. He loves to chew on it, can you tell he's teething?!

Parker's first 4th of July

We had such a fun 4th of July! We went to Aunt Lori and Uncle Greg's for the weekend... to hang out with the family (and fireworks are legal to do on the streets there!). We had an early dinner followed by a game I've never heard of; Washers (really fun, but I am not good at it!). And then we did fireworks all night long. It was Parker's first, and he made sure he stayed up till 10:00 so he could take as much of it in as possible. We celebrated my brother Ryan's birthday, swam in their pool, and watched the fight on Saturday night. Quite the busy weekend!
It was so fun, but we are glad to be home!

It was a little bright... but we needed a momma/dadda picture!

Random Shots

These pictures were taken randomly in between photo sessions we've had with Parks... so we never really got around to posting them. But, as usual, they are beautiful (thanks to our gorgeous subject). Oh, and we can't leave Pepper out. Parker loves to grab at her and pet her, and she is such a good sport!
